Contract – agency and distribution agreements

What do you need to be aware of when embarking on a new UK wine agency or distribution agreement, and how can contract terms give you increased security and protection?

Whether you're the importer or the producer, you need to consider:

  1. whether the relationship will operate as an agency or as a distributorship, or as both,
  2. what your position will be if there isn’t a written agreement,
  3. how you could improve his position by having one.
