Agent/distributor selling outside his territory or sector

A producer will want to protect and "police" his distribution network.  In particular he will probably want to try to ensure that his agent/distributor (see terminology) does not trespass into territories or sectors allotted to other agent/distributors.

Within the constraints of the law on competition and restrictive covenants, and providing the agent/distributor agrees, this may be done by appropriate contract wording.

If P sells at lower prices in some countries than in others, he may want to try to prevent a distributor in country X from obtaining "parallel imports"....
